Other Events in Edinburgh
The General Assembly is an annual event, as are some of the other events displayed in this section. It may be that some events will only happen once. But at the same time some of the other events in Edinburgh have become well established events that continue to run. Edinburgh has also been host to two 9/11 memorial services which were held in St Giles Cathedral.

The gay community have a parade in the city every two years which has continued to grow over the years. Edinburgh has diversified over the years where homophobic crimes are now against the law, and rightly so. We have to understand other peoples difference and in Scotland we do that.

Edinburgh is a progressive city that has many events going on in it all year round. Each year the General Assembly is held in the capital of Scotland. Edinburgh also won the ethnicity awards, beating hard competition from many other cities in Britain.
As you would expect from any city in this country, it is also a progressive city that has moved forward with the times. Tolerance and diversity are a great Scottish trait.
